I've made quite a few changes but I think it looks (much) better now. Pose is different, the left arm wasn't working like I wanted it to so I put it leaning on the floor and adjusted the whole body. And I made the colors brighter. Playing more with lighting too here. Actually think this will be one my best paintings so far :D .

And here is an earlier version that I forgot to upload:

I found myself some guts and I'm going to try and enter a minicomp on gamerartisans.org . Really liked the assignment (make a moviemonster into a baby) this time and think I can actually make something of it. Every time I thought of a good monster and flipped another page the monster was taken, but strangely enough after 10 pages still no Gremlins passed by so since I like that move I choose the bad monster named Stripe. He is on the movieposter as well, the one popping throught and writing on it.
So I took that idea and want him sitting there, as a baby, with in the background a torn up house covered in red crayon.
So far I got to this:
First sketch:

Adding a bit of detail:

After posting on the forums they brought to my attention the proportians weren't babylike at all so I changed that up a bit. Looking up pictures of human babies and toddlers (eventough I really dislike kids, to say it nicely ^^ ) and shifting around the shapes I allready had.
I think it looks more babylike now, maybe not as much as it should but I like it like this. Need to fix some shapes like the feet and the hands but the overal image is there I think.
Removed the background to focus better on the baby, background colours arent very well chosen either.
But so far I'm doing better then expected

A new painting, bit of an experiment and hope I will be able to finnish it. The sketch I made during my internship, was kind of bored, didn't had any inspiration for the work that I needed to do so I just opened a file in Photoshop and started to draw stuff. It started as a valley, then added a gate, turned it into a dragon, made it a dragongate, added another dragon, croped it to only the gate. Still wasn't right. Took it home and played around with it again. Added more space above for dragons and playing around with some colors.

After giving everything more shape and color I gave the golden dragon on the gate some more attention, they want to be all pretty and shiny.

*yay* I'm painting faster and faster every time!

Only refining the background and adjust some details and it will be finished!
It look very detailed but I painted it quite rough. Document size is 60x30cm on 300dpi so rezising makes it look good.

I found two great pictures in a topic at www.bokt.nl where people can ask other to draw their pictures. The pictures I liked where of the same horse, couldn't choose but didn't want to paint the same horse twice. So I mirrored one of the pictures and drew the two poses together. Asked the girl if I could use the pictures this way and make it two differend horses. She agreed and asked of the other horse could be the other horse they owned. A very different type of horse so had to make adjustments to make the pony look like a horse.
But here is the first part /lineart / sketch :

Left one is the pony, right one is the horse from a mirrored picture of the pony (and a few pictures of the horse itself offcourse).
I'm planning on making a beach for the background, but we will have to see if I can actually paint that ;)
